Description	The TDSB welcome thousands of new students each year. To register an elementary student, please visit your local school directly. All students between the ages of 14-20 begin by visiting a Newcomer Reception Centre to have English language and mathematics skills assessed. This assessment will help schools offer the supports needed as students begin studying in Canada.

Languages Served	Brochures about Reception Centres are available on the website in: Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Gujrati, Hungarian, Korean, Punjabi, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Somali, Spanish, Tagalog, Tamil and Urdu. Each Reception Centre has multilingual staff to assist students and families.

Client Outreach and Support Tips	Newcomer families can also connect with a Settlement Worker at a Reception Centre to learn more about the education system as well as topics such as finding housing, looking for employment, accessing health care in Ontario, and a variety of support agencies.
