Kindergarten Registration
On this page you will find links to information about kindergarten registration at the four school boards in Toronto. You can find more information about school boards here.
When registering your child, you will be asked for proof of your child’s vaccination history. For more information, visit the City of Toronto immunization website. You can find some general information from Toronto Public Health about preparing your children to start Kindergarten here.
*Please note that schools close for the summer in June and do not reopen until two weeks before Labour Day. If families have not yet registered their child for Kindergarten before the end of June, they should contact their local school in the last two weeks of August.*
1. Toronto District School Board (TDSB)
The TDSB website provides information about Kindergarten registration for 2017 as well as general information about Kindergarten in the TDSB.
- Registration begins in February.
- Parents/guardians should contact their local school.

2. Toronto Catholic District School Board
The TCDSB website provides information about Kindergarten registration for 2017.
- Registration begins January 18, 2017.
- Some restrictions apply. See the website for details.
3. Conseil scolaire Viamonde
Viamonde is the public, French language school board. The board’s website provides information about Kindergarten registration in English and French.

4. Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir
The French Catholic school board’s website provides information about how to register in both French and English, as well as information about registration requirements. Registration is possible throughout the school year.
Parents who want to register their child should contact the French-language Catholic school in their district. To identify the school in their district, parents can use the school district finder.
Schools organize Open House events during the school year. Parents can contact their local school to find out the date.
