Description |
The School Readiness Program is a five day intensive program which offers children and their parents/caregivers the key skills and knowledge they will need to make a successful transition to school. The program is delivered in a setting that is similar to a classroom. The children are engaged in structured activities that help them build self-esteem, develop a positive attitude, and learn some key school readiness skills. While the children engage in activities, parents attend workshops on topics such as the school system, curriculum, the importance of communicating and being involved with your school, separation anxiety, routine and self-help skills for their child, and healthy eating habits. The program runs several times throughout the year. |
