| Description |
The School Readiness program provides children from 2 to 6 years of age, who are new to the country, with opportunities to develop language skills, early literacy, creativity, cognitive, sensory and motor skills, to help them succeed in the school system. Parents accompany their children to the program, and learn about their child’s development needs as well as acquiring new skills themselves or brush up on existing skills. The Preschool program provides structured early learning activities for children from 2 to 5 years of age whose parents are registered and attending English as a Second Language classes with the Rexdale Women’s Centre. The program assists children to ease into kindergarten classes with little or no anxiety. |
