Description |
Latinx Parents for Change is an educational program for Latin American parents of elementary school children. Through 8 sessions, parents will have the opportunity to build their leadership skills, deepen their understanding of school governance and actively participate in their school community. Parents will learn how the education system in Ontario works as well as ways to get involved in their school council or Parent Involvement Committee. Parents are required to commit to the full training (27 hours). Certificates will be presented upon completion. Next cohort runs September-October 2017 at Working Women Community Centre, 533C Gladstone Avenue (Dufferin & Bloor). TTC tokens and refreshments are provided. Childminding is available upon request. |
